This beautiful necklace & earring set is comprised of etched copper components. Sheets of copper are cut, sanded, polished and designed by hand. They are then immersed into ferric chloride that 'etches' the design into the depths of the metal. Once destabilized, they are again immersed into another chemical compound to render them 'aged'. Destabilized again, then polished. The result is exquisite.
The etched components were unified with strong, thick paracord. Accents of hand rolled, copper coils secure the cord and the ends. The triangular focal was processed the same way as mentioned in the above paragraph and tethered by a copper collar and a complimentary embellishment.
The earrings were also treated by ferric chloride, destabilized and treated with liver of sulphur. They dangle from the same strong, thick paracord. An embellishment added.
Measurements (Approximately):
Earrings 4" from bottom to hook, Width 1.5"
Necklace: 12" across-from hook, to the bridge/collar to the loop. The length fits comfortably across the collar bone.
